The source program is usually compiled into a bytecode, which can later be run on any Java virtual machine. Today, Java applications can run on any platform, from tablets, laptops, game consoles, or supercomputers.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_9072\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/museo.inf.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Green-Team-de-james-gosling.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9072\" class=\"wp-image-9072 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/museo.inf.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Green-Team-de-james-gosling-300x177.png\" alt=\"Green Team, Sun engineers team, with James Gosling, Mike Sheridan, y Patrick Naughton\" width=\"300\" height=\"177\" srcset=\"https:\/\/museo.inf.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Green-Team-de-james-gosling-300x177.png 300w, https:\/\/museo.inf.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Green-Team-de-james-gosling.png 554w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-9072\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Small <strong>Sun<\/strong> engineers team, called <strong>Green Team<\/strong>, with James Gosling, Mike Sheridan, y Patrick Naughton<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Java<\/strong> begins as a project by <strong>James Gosling<\/strong>, <strong>Mike Sheridan<\/strong>, and <strong>Patrick Naughton<\/strong> for interactive television and with a syntax similar to that of <a href=\"https:\/\/museo.inf.upv.es\/c-y-c\/\">C or C ++<\/a> so that developers will find it familiar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After its sale to <strong>Oracle<\/strong> in 2010, <strong>Sun<\/strong>&#8216;s implementation is taken as the basis for versions of <strong>Windows<\/strong>, <strong>macOS<\/strong>, <strong>Linux<\/strong>, and <strong>Solaris<\/strong>. Due to the lack of a Java standard (<strong>Sun<\/strong>&#8216;s attempts in 1997 are soon abandoned), <strong>Oracle<\/strong>&#8216;s implementation is considered de facto standard.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ability to run Java code on multiple platforms made it well received by the Internet industry, which introduced, despite not being an open standard, Applet technology. Despite the fact that this technology did not have the life that was expected, it marked a before and after since it allowed to deliver an application to a client without it being installed on their computer, which opened a new stage in the development of business in Internet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The goal of Java is still to get compatible implementations. Since its inception, Java has been a very popular language among developers.
